Information on discussions between TPR and FCA

Request

I am seeking further information on discussions between the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and The Pensions Regulator (TPR) on formulating a joint pensions regulatory strategy.

Please provide copies of all email correspondence between TPR Chief Executive Lesley Titcomb and FCA Chief Executive Andrew Bailey and regarding the development of the strategy. This could be achieved by searching email records for the phrase 'joint pensions strategy'.

Though unlikely, if the volume of correspondence in that case breaches cost exemptions, a narrower search term could be used such as 'TPR and FCA: Our strategy for pensions'.

Response

For the avoidance of doubt, we have interpreted your request to ask for email correspondence between Lesley Titcomb and Andrew Bailey regarding the development of a joint pensions strategy.

Following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that we do not hold correspondence between Lesley Titcomb and Andrew Bailey regarding the development of a joint pensions strategy.

Duty to provide advice and assistance

Following conversation regarding your Freedom of Information request, Lesley has asked me to confirm that Mel Charles, Director of Transformation, and Liz Hickey, Director of Communications, are leading this project with the support of their teams. If you have further questions concerning the joint strategy, you may wish to contact them directly.

You may also find the following link, to information on our website about the joint strategy, helpful.

It is worth pointing out that the consultation document states: 'We will publish information on our final strategic approach later this year'.
